When filming we encountered a problem with colours on our footage. There were too many vibrant colours in and around the school and would've guided the audience away from the conventions of a thriller/gothic movie. With this in mind, apart from the Guardian Angel's point of view, we decided to make the film in black and white so we no longer had to deal with the visual jarring effect on screen and added a mysterious mood to the film which complimented our theme. The Guardian Angel's point of view is in a bright red colour to which symbolises blood, danger and ultimately, death.
